HIGHLY IMPORTANT NEWS. PLEASE READ.
Hi there listeners, I have some very important news which I don't want to say, but life has a terrible habit of getting in the way of plans. It is with much regret that I'm announcing the show is going on a temporary hiatus, probably until June. I've just received my exam results for January, and while they are good, they are not as good as I wanted. I'm currently averaging at 68.5%, and I need 70% for a first class degree. No matter what I do for the next 4 months it is going to be a fine line between a first class and an upper second class degree, and I need to do everything I can to do the best I can with university. Unfortunately, after much thought, I've decided that I need my weekends for studying rather than podcasting. If I was off my target by a few marks, and hadn't done everything I could to get it, I just wouldn't be able to live with myself. I would hate to harbour resentful thoughts against the podcast when it brings so much joy to my life. I'm not saying there will be no podcasts between now and June, but there will be no schedule, and there may be very long gaps between episodes. You all have my most sincerest apologies.
Your humble podcaster, Jamie

A History Of: Hannibal. Episode 60 - Let's Talk Teutoburgerwald
This week we are joined by token Welshman Tom Vaudin for Let's Talk Number 4 - Teutoburgerwald. As my friend Tom is something of a specialist on the Teutoburgerwald we talk about the lead up to the battle, the battle itself and the aftermath, as well as the Roman army in the early imperial period. Now this is a Let's Talk, so we must have tangents. We talk about The Hobbit, Les Miserable, the geography of Mordor, Manchester City's excellent run of form, the disasters that have befallen Manchester United (YES!) and a very detailed analysis of the first Formula One test of 2014 at Jerez, with particular attention given to the problems that Red Bull are having. https://archive.org/download/AHistoryOfHannibal.Episode60-LetsTalkTeutoburgerwald/Episode60.mp3
