Delay in episode 10

Sorry guys, I'm not feeling too good so there will be no new episode today. I'm not sure what I've got, but I doubt recording a podcast will help my voice/throat/chest in any way whatsoever. In that same vein I don't know when the next episode will be out but you will be the first to know.

My apologies,

Jamie

Why I hate XML files

So, many of you have experienced problems downloading episodes 6 and 7 of Hannibal, indeed there have been issues with all of them. Here's why. Turns out I had an error in my RSS feed which completely broke it, I then realised this and fixed it. When doing so I renamed my RSS file from Hannibal.XML to Hannibal.xml as the capital letters were annoying me. Rather than fixing the problem this created a new feed iTunes wasn't connected to which I have since been updating, still leaving the feed iTunes is connected to broken. I have now fixed and updated the feed iTunes is connected to, so badabing-badaboom, problem fixed.

Hannibal Release Plans

Really should give some idea of the schedule for the coming weeks now things are getting very close. In two weeks, specifically on Sunday 3rd June I'm going to upload Episode 1 - Introduction of Hannibal, which will be a short episode only a few minutes long. It will take a few days for iTunes to accept the new feed and I shall tell you as soon as it is available to download. I shall then release a 'trailer' on the Alexander feed informing people who unlike yourselves have not become involved in the podcast community. This means that by Sunday 10th June most listeners should know about Hannibal and will be able to join in as we delve into the back-story, that episode will probably focus on the Roman Constitution. That's probably enough detail, I'll go more into what exactly we shall be covering and what order we shall be covering it during the first episode. With regards to time-frames after that, I honestly have no idea how long this will take. Maybe 20 episodes, maybe 50. Either way it will be a fun journey and I look forward to re-joining your Monday routines in two weeks. See you then!
